L.A. backyards have avocados, pools and ... bears

Black bears are venturing into new and unusual places in search of food and shelter.

On hot days, they have their pick of swimming pools. They pluck avocados from backyard trees with impunity. When they amble down shaded streets, they are treated like celebrities.
